About

Peter Barton Holt is a multimedia artist specializing in film creation and theatrical light and sound design. Peter is a 2022 graduate of the Institute of American Indian Arts (IAIA) with a B.A. in Cinematic Arts and Technology and is currently enrolled in IAIA's MFA program in screenwriting. Peter has written, filmed, directed, edited and produced several short films, such as "The Participant," assisted on critically acclaimed productions such as "Magic Indian" and "Sage Me Not," as well as worked freelance for dancers, visual artists, musicians, educators, and others. In addition to film, Peter has seven years of theatrical audio/visual experience, working as technical director for live stage productions such as Dancing Earth's Santa Fe premiere of "Between Earth and Skyworld" (2019), Pomegranate Studios "Invaders of the Heart: The Birth of Venus" (2022), and the Utah Ballroom Dance Company's 2018 U.S. tour, to name a few. Currently, Peter is scheduled to tour as technical director for Pomegranate Studios' upcoming theatrical dance performance "The Radiant Tarot" touring throughout the U.S. and Mexico from February 2023-October 2023. In all of Peter's creative pursuits, he is inspired and guided by story. With a social consciousness and artistic vision, Peter's work is unique and relevant.
